Large Crowd Expected For Women's World Cup Viewing Party At Boston's City Hall Plaza Sunday

Bostonians, are you gearing up for the FIFA Women's World Cup final?

The U.S. faces off against Japan Sunday night, and Boston's Tourism Director Ken Brissette is expecting a good turn out at the city's viewing party of the game at City Hall Plaza. The party starts at 7 p.m.

"I think the spirit of the U.S. is out in full force," he told WBUR's newscast unit. "I think there was a record number of people to watch the U.S.-German game, and we'll expect the same record to watch the U.S. women's play Japan on Sunday and get a victory."

The U.S. women's soccer team last won the World Cup in 1999.
