A new Boston magazine is going beyond the typical food and culture articles. Rather than solely focusing on food itself, To Market magazine is looking at the people and policies around the food we eat.

The first issue is out now, with eye-popping pictures and a wide swath of features including: a profile of the woman behind the weekend meals program for kids in Cambridge, an article about the role oysters play in restoring water quality, a look at sustainability and aquaculture, and a history of school lunches (which date back to Boston in 1894) along with ways to make kids' lunches healthier.

Guest

Ilene Bezahler, publisher and editor-in-chief of Edible Boston and To Market, which tweet @edibleboston and @tomarketmag.

This segment aired on October 20, 2016.
